My dad - Donald L. Evans - served on teh JWT from 1949 to 1953 and I was wondering if anyone knows how to get in touch with a couple of his friends: 1) Donald Chanstain (wife Janet), nickname 'chicken' (Don's, not Janet's), 2: Donald K. Evans, and 3) Eugene Rudolf.  If anyone knows how I can contact these veterans, please email me with whatever info you may have -- and may God Bless America for your service!!!

If  you live in or in the surrounding states of Minnesota and would like to get together for a day or two between May 20-22, 2011, please contact me.  Rob Kleinschmidt and I are getting together during those dates and would like to see other shipmates who served aboard the Thomason. Thanks

Hello: I am looking for a list of JWT's CO's for inclusion on our site www.navsource.org/archives/05/760.htm from May 1946 to 1949 when CDR Samuels took command sometime that year. Does anyone have any cruise books, or programs that may have dates and names in them ? Also if Secretary would contact NARA with a copy of the list that's on our page at archives2reference@nara.gov and provide address so request can be tracked you should get an answer, and you'll have a swell list to publish on your page as well. There's also missing dates from 1952 to 1970, and the name of the last CO is not positive as LCDR Angel J. Flores... Perhaps someone can verify name ?? I note some shipmates here that were aboard during those times in 1948-1949, and also in 1969-1970, and maybe they can help. Also if anyone has a program from ships decommissioning it may have a list of CO's in it, and the name of the last CO at least, and I'd love to have a copy of it. Also any biographies of CO's and thier pictures. Thank You, for your assistance, and I'm at your service.
